WHY THIS EXISTS

Complex safety, made inspectable for ordinary people.

Advanced AI systems are hard to reason about. EvoEthics is intended to translate human-governed principles into deterministic, inspectable decisions and obligations that Saturn components can enforce at defined side-effect boundaries once the integration is qualified. The goal is to contain architectural complexity without requiring every user to become a security engineer.

The proposed framework is deliberately not a moral-scoring model and not a mandatory remote cloud service that must see user content. It is designed to answer structured questions from metadata: may this start, does this action require exact approval, is the scope bounded and interruptible, must it be denied or escalated.

FOUNDATIONAL CONVICTION

AI should expand human capability without displacing human authority.

People should remain able to understand where intelligence runs, what it accesses, and which actions it may take.

SIX PRINCIPLES

Constraints, not slogans.

1
Human flourishing
Products should improve clarity, capability, creativity, communication, and control without engineering dependence.
2
Human authority
Sensitive agent actions must be scoped, revocable, visible, interruptible, and confirmed where stakes justify it.
3
Plural intelligence
Users should retain meaningful choice over on-device, user-operated, and explicitly selected external execution.
4
Privacy by default
Data minimization and local-first design must be product requirements, not premium add-ons.
5
Transparency over magic
Released interfaces should disclose execution route, relevant model or runtime, data movement, and consequential actions.
6
Responsibility scales with capability
More capable automation requires stronger identity, narrower permissions, better evidence, clearer rollback, and stricter task boundaries.
ARCHITECTURAL DIRECTION
Local-first. User-operated infrastructure where appropriate. External compute only through explicit, qualified routes.
PROPOSED POLICY SEPARATION

PAP · PDP · PEP responsibilities.

In the proposed integration, EvoEthics would act as a deterministic Policy Decision Point and Saturn-Control would act as the Policy Administration Point. Policy Enforcement Points at the Container Runner, protected tools, and Saturn-Node must verify applicable bound authority immediately before protected side effects. Unknown, expired, mismatched, replayed, revoked, or unverifiable authority must fail closed.

POLICY ADMINISTRATION POINT
Saturn-Control
Would submit structured metadata for evaluation and combine policy decisions with the canonical Saturn authority contract.
POLICY DECISION POINT
EvoEthics
Is proposed to return deterministic decisions and obligations from an approved, versioned policy bundle.
POLICY ENFORCEMENT POINTS
Runner · protected tools · Saturn-Node
Must verify applicable authority immediately before protected container mutations, tool actions, or model generation.

The proposed decision contract defines: allow, allow_with_obligations, require_approval, require_review, and deny. Decisions are designed to carry policy version/digest, principle and control IDs, obligations, and a stable audit identifier. Ordinary policy requests are designed to exclude raw prompts, credentials, document bodies, and model output unless a future approved control proves such content strictly necessary.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

Requirements follow real product boundaries.

Saturn One
Should make route, authority, and consequential actions understandable before secure networked workflows become public.
Saturn-Control
Must remain the authority for identity, policy, desired state, operations, and audit while keeping inference outside Control.
Saturn-Node
Must remain private, workload-authenticated, bounded, and observable as secure inference composition matures.
NutriSelf
Starts as a standalone local-first nutrition product. Managed EvoIntelligenceFabric execution is not required for its first MVP.
WHAT WE DO NOT CLAIM

Principles are commitments to test, not proof of completed behavior.

EvoCortexAI does not present unreleased privacy, security, routing, deletion, model, or agent behavior as available functionality. The proposed engineering contract, conformance vectors, and source are available in the public EvoEthics framework repository. Questions and accountability are welcome at [email protected].
